United Hatzalah of Israel is the largest volunteer first responder organization in Israel and does not charge for its services. Over 1500 medics provide immediate medical response within 2-4 minutes of the onset of any emergency incident. Last year United Hatzalah volunteers responded to over 120,000 calls and treated 180,000 people – all at no cost to the recipient, 25,000 of which were life threatening situations.
